VAYAM follows an invite and recommendation-based approach, where experts and institutions can be recommended by parents and subsequently invited to participate. This helps create a more trusted ecosystem rather than an unrestricted directory. Parents can explore relevant professionals and organizations, understand their areas of expertise, and connect with them through VAYAM. The objective is to make finding the right support easier while building a community where recommendations and real-world experience play an important role.
LifeBook
Keep your child’s important information together.
LifeBook is VAYAM’s digital record of a child’s journey, bringing important developmental, health, learning, and activity information together in one place. Parents can create and maintain LifeBooks for up to three children, allowing each child’s journey to be tracked separately. From developmental milestones and medical history to school progress, therapy notes, activities, and achievements, LifeBook creates a structured record that evolves as the child grows. Parents can review information over time, identify patterns, maintain important records, and create a consolidated view of their child’s journey. LifeBook is designed to help parents move from scattered information to a clearer picture of growth and development.
LifeBook · Profile
A private profile that helps you understand your child’s unique journey.
The Child Profile is the foundation of your child’s LifeBook — a private space where parents can record and understand the unique characteristics, behaviours, preferences, and everyday experiences of their child. Parents can add information such as age, gender, behaviour, sensory preferences, emotional regulation, social communication, daily routines, interests, and other developmental observations. This information helps build a more complete picture of the child beyond individual milestones or medical records. Your child’s personal profile information is private and is not shared with other parents. VAYAM may use relevant, non-identifying insights from the profile to identify parents whose children have similar experiences or developmental patterns, helping create meaningful connections and peer support. As your child grows, the profile can be updated to reflect new behaviours, interests, strengths, challenges, and changing needs — creating a living picture of your child’s journey.
Emergency Details · SafeID
Prepare essential information for a lost-child or emergency situation.
SafeID is VAYAM’s emergency identification system designed to help keep a child connected to their parent or guardian when it matters most. Parents can create a secure SafeID containing essential emergency information such as the child’s name, photograph, date of birth, important parent notes, and up to two guardian contacts. VAYAM generates a unique SafeID QR code that parents can download and place on an ID card, sticker, tag, school bag, wristband, or other suitable item. If a child is lost, involved in an accident, or separated from their parent, anyone with an internet-enabled smartphone can scan the QR code to access the configured emergency information. Each SafeID scan can also capture the location and time of the scan, allowing the parent to see where the SafeID was accessed and, where available, connect with the person who scanned it. This can provide an additional layer of visibility and help parents respond faster during an emergency. SafeID — A simple scan that can help bring a child home.

Milestones helps parents record and follow their child’s developmental progress in a structured way. Parents can track milestones across key Areas of Development, including Motor, Language, Cognitive, Social, Self-Help, and Sensory development. Milestones can also be viewed according to different Age and Developmental Stages, from early years through 7+ years. Parents can mark progress, add observations, and maintain a historical record of development. Rather than focusing only on individual achievements, Milestones gives parents a broader view of how their child’s skills and abilities evolve over time, helping them organize observations and discuss progress more meaningfully with relevant professionals.

Keep growth, health and therapy information in one place.
Health provides parents with a centralized digital health record for their child. Instead of keeping medical information across paper files, messages, photographs, and different apps, parents can organize important health information within the child’s LifeBook. Health can include growth information, clinical notes, prescriptions, laboratory reports, parent observations, therapy-related information, and vaccination records. Maintaining this information over time can make it easier for parents to understand the child’s health history and retrieve relevant information when meeting doctors, therapists, or other professionals. Parents remain in control of the information and can choose what information they want to share when needed.

Learnings helps parents document the child’s educational, activity, and skill-development journey beyond traditional developmental milestones. Parents can add a school, shadow support professional, coach, or other learning activity and maintain regular observations about progress. Updates can be recorded weekly, monthly, or daily depending on the activity. Parents can capture achievements, challenges, new skills, classroom observations, activity progress, and other meaningful experiences. Over time, these records create a clearer picture of how the child is learning and participating across different environments. Learnings helps parents preserve progress that might otherwise be scattered across conversations, notebooks, or memory.

Timeline brings the child’s LifeBook together into a chronological view. Milestones, health records, therapy information, vaccinations, learning progress, activities, achievements, and important parent observations can be viewed according to when they happened. Parents can filter the timeline by category to focus on a specific aspect of the child’s journey or view the broader picture. This creates a simple way to understand how different aspects of development, health, education, and everyday experiences have evolved together. Parents can also download or share selected information when they choose, making it easier to provide relevant history to doctors, therapists, teachers, or other professionals.
My Profile
Manage your VAYAM account
My Profile is the parent’s personal space within VAYAM. It contains information about the parent, account and subscription details, privacy controls, security settings, and support options. The profile helps parents manage how they appear within the VAYAM community while also giving them control over their account and personal information. Parents can update their profile details, review their subscription, manage privacy and security preferences, access frequently asked questions, contact VAYAM support, and manage their account. It serves as the central place for managing the parent’s identity, preferences, and relationship with the VAYAM platform.
