Protecting Every Child

Protecting children and vulnerable individuals is one of VAYAM's highest priorities. Although VAYAM is designed for adults, many discussions relate to children and every member is expected to help maintain a safe environment.

Adults Only

VAYAM accounts may only be created by individuals aged 18 years or older. Children should not create accounts or use the platform independently.

Child Privacy

Parents and guardians remain responsible for deciding what information about their child they choose to share.

We recommend avoiding public disclosure of:

  • Full names
  • School names
  • Home addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Government identification numbers
  • Medical reports
  • Exact or Live locations
  • Daily routine
Always consider whether information could identify or place a child at risk before posting it publicly.

Child Images

Please consider carefully before sharing photographs or videos of children.

Never upload content that:

  • Exploits children
  • Endangers children
  • Violates a child's privacy
  • Shows abuse or neglect

Zero Tolerance Policy

VAYAM maintains zero tolerance for:

  • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)
  • Child exploitation
  • Grooming
  • Human trafficking
  • Sexualization of minors
  • Any content that places children at risk
Such content will be immediately removed, may be reported to appropriate authorities where legally required, and will result in permanent account termination.

Reporting Child Safety Concerns

If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services or child protection authorities immediately.

Within VAYAM, report any content or user that may endanger a child using the in-app reporting tools or by emailing:

Professionals using VAYAM should:

  • Respect patient confidentiality.
  • Avoid sharing identifiable case information without consent.
  • Follow all applicable ethical and legal obligations.
