Building a Safe Community
VAYAM exists to create a safe, respectful and supportive space for parents, caregivers, therapists, educators and healthcare professionals.

1. Be Kind and Respectful
Every family has a unique journey. Treat fellow members with empathy, patience and respect. Healthy discussions and differing opinions are welcome, but personal attacks, harassment, bullying, intimidation and discrimination are not.
2. Support, Don't Judge
Parents join VAYAM seeking guidance, encouragement and understanding.
- Judging parenting decisions
- Mock children
- Shaming families
- Making insensitive remarks
- Comparing children negatively
Offer support instead of criticism.
3. Medical Advice
Members may share personal experiences.
- Do not present personal opinions as medical facts.
- Avoid recommending prescription medicines or treatments unless you are a licensed professional acting within applicable regulations.
- Always encourage consultation with qualified healthcare professionals.
VAYAM is not a substitute for professional medical care.
4. Respect Privacy
Never post another person's information without explicit permission.
- Phone number

- Email
- Medical records
- Personal photographs
- Therapy reports
We strongly discourage publicly sharing sensitive information about children.
5. Appropriate Content
Please keep discussions relevant to the VAYAM community.

6. Prohibited Content
To maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all members, the following content is strictly prohibited on VAYAM.
6a.Safety & Respect
Users must not post, share, promote, or engage in content that includes:

Hate speech, discrimination, or content targeting individuals or groups based on race, religion, ethnicity, nationality, gender, disability, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics.

Threats, intimidation, or incitement to violence.

Harassment, bullying, stalking, or abusive behaviour.

Pornographic, sexually explicit, or obscene content.
-
Nudity or sexually suggestive content involving children or adults.

Graphic violence, disturbing imagery, or content promoting physical harm.

Illegal activities or instructions to commit unlawful acts.

Terrorist, extremist, or radicalizing content.

Content that promotes, encourages, or glorifies self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders.

Spam, unsolicited advertisements, repetitive promotional content, or deceptive marketing.

Scams, phishing attempts, fraudulent fundraising, impersonation, or other deceptive practices.

Deliberately false or misleading information intended to cause harm, panic, or public confusion.

Repeated self-promotion, solicitation, or advertising unrelated to the purpose of the VAYAM community.
6b.Health & Medical Content
Because VAYAM supports parents and caregivers, users must not post, promote, or encourage content that could endanger the health, safety, or well-being of children or families.
This includes, but is not limited to:

Claims of miracle cures or guaranteed treatments.

Anti-vaccination misinformation or other medically inaccurate or misleading information.

Unsafe, unproven, or dangerous diets, therapies, supplements, or health practices.

Advice to discontinue, delay, or alter prescribed medications, therapies, or medical treatment without the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional.

Medical, therapeutic, developmental, educational, or psychological advice presented as professional guidance without appropriate qualifications or expertise.
Users are encouraged to rely on qualified professionals for medical, therapeutic, educational, and developmental decisions affecting their children.
6c.Enforcement
VAYAM reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to review, remove, restrict, or disable any content that violates these guidelines or applicable laws. Depending on the severity or frequency of the violation, we may also:

Remove posts, comments, messages, or listings.

Suspend or restrict access to specific platform features.

Temporarily suspend user accounts.
-
Permanently terminate accounts for serious or repeated violations.

Report unlawful activity to appropriate authorities where required by law.
Our primary goal is to maintain a safe, trusted, and supportive community where parents, caregivers, professionals, and organizations can interact respectfully and responsibly.
7. Marketplace Conduct
When buying or selling, please:
- Be honest.
- Describe items accurately.
- Respect agreed prices.
- Communicate politely.
- Do not sell prohibited or illegal items.
VAYAM is not responsible for transactions between users.
8. Professional Conduct
Verified professionals should:
- Provide accurate credentials.
- Avoid misleading claims.
- Respect professional ethics.
- Never pressure users into purchasing services.
9. Reporting Content
If you notice content that violates these Guidelines, use the in-app Report feature. Our moderation team reviews reports as quickly as possible.
10. Consequences
Violations may result in:
- Content removal
- Warning
- Temporary suspension
- Permanent account termination
- Reporting to law enforcement where required
Our goal is always to keep VAYAM safe for families.
